Orly König-Lopez
Orly König-Lopez is a seasoned communications professional with proven results in developing and executing effective communications campaigns. She has spent the last 15 years honing her skills across a broad range of industries, with primary emphasis in the satellite communications sector.
Most recently, König-Lopez was Marketing Communications Manager for International Launch Services (ILS), a leading launch services provider jointly owned by Lockheed Martin Corporation. At ILS she was instrumental in developing and executing integrated marketing communications campaigns, including corporate branding, brochures, website, advertising, direct mail, customer newsletter, media relations and a heightened visibility at industry events.
Previously, König-Lopez worked in both the biotechnology and information technology fields where she demonstrated a fluid transition between industries while delivering outstanding communication tools and results. Prior to that, she served as Corporate Communications Manager at American Mobile Satellite Corporation. She got her start in the satellite industry as an editor with Via Satellite magazine.
König-Lopez has published articles in Via Satellite, Sea Technology, Radio Resource Magazine, as well as numerous ghost-written articles in various trade publications. She was also a principal researcher on a joint program between the Center For Investigative Reporting and PBS Frontline that aired in 1992. König-Lopez received a Bachelors degree in English literature from Adelphi University and a Masters degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
