Lisa Koppel

Lisa Koppel is a seasoned communications professional specializing in media relations and corporate branding. She has spent the last 12 years creating relationships with the media covering the satellite communications, defense and aerospace sectors.

From 2001 to present, Koppel has represented numerous space-related and technology clients to create and enhance their strategic messaging. Specific focus areas include broadband satellite communications services, GPS-related applications and computer network services.

From April 2000 – March 2001, Koppel was Director of Marketing for the International Space Business Council, an association that worked to create a strong, unified image for the commercial space industry. Koppel promoted the influence that the space industry has on the global economy by working with trade and business publications to ensure they understood how space technology and services support various industries.

From February 1995 – April 2000, Koppel managed various public relations activities for Loral. Her responsibilities started with planning and managing communications campaigns for Loral Corporation’s 43 commercial and government business units worldwide. Following this, she helped publicize the new image for the commercial services and manufacturing activities of Loral Space & Communications. She then developed strategies to expand Loral CyberStar’s brand in the satellite broadband and Internet Protocol service arena in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Koppel has varied international business experience in the telecommunications sector, office furnishings industry, in additional to conducting economic and political consulting for foreign governments. She received a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins University and a Masters in International Economic Affairs from American University.
